SibSpeak is a research study aiming to investigate language and communication skills in younger brothers and sisters of children with communication difficulties, and compare these with a group of control children of the same age.

We are particularly interested in babies who have older brothers or sisters who have either:

    • A diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Asperger Syndrome)
    • OR other difficulties with speech and language.

However, we are also collecting control data from babies of 9-18 months of age, whether or not they have elder siblings.

We can travel to anywhere in the UK so it does not matter if you are not based near London.

SibSpeak has been given ethical approval by the City University London Division of Language and Communication Science Proportionate Review Committee.

If you are interested in taking part in the project, please visit the tab entitled Taking Part to find out if you are eligible. You can also visit the SibSpeak Assessment tab to find out more details about what participation would involve.
